 If I am to be really honest with you, Sweet Thing was born out of a ridiculous shopping obsession for my now 3 year old. I was considered a 'platinum frequent flyer' in most of my local boutiques yet I still spent my nights trawling the world wide web searching for something extra special for my little girl.
Friends were always commenting on my latest find so I started to buy on their behalf. Sucessful purchase after sucessful purchase led me to believe that I was actually onto something.
It then occured to me that whilst I thought a forty-five minute drive to Sydney's North Shore was reasonable for a pair of toddler shoes, most mothers in my area wouldn't go to that extreme for their childrens wardrobe.
It dawned on me that there was really no true local boutique that serviced North Western Sydney.
Of course I had the answer, I found the store site, convinced my very understanding husband and family members that this little idea of mine could actually work.
And work it did, after nearly nine (9) months demand is just about outweighing capacity, we are servicing customers instore from all over Sydney including Regional and Interstate locations.
I continue to search the globe, visiting local and international trade shows and making friends with amazing designers who give us some of the best baby and childrens products on the market - many are exclusive to us!
We are a bricks and mortar and on-line boutique. Our real bonus is our very capable customer service team available to speak (yes speak, they are real!) seven (7) days a week both online via telephone.
The Sweet Thing team includes me, the Director of Sales and Marketing as well as my husband Daniel, the Director of Finance and Operations (or the money keeper!)
